Named after my Aunty May, this bold little bird is standing in the night sky beneath an ogee arch, representing her endless appetite for adventure, parallel to her sense of belonging as she returns home after each experience. Engraved in a style developed to convey the textures of Palestinian Tatreez, the directional cuts catch light differently from every angle.
