This pendant is made with silver I recycled in-studio. After fabricating this elongated oval bevel-edged charm, it was then hand-engraved with over 100 cuts to imitate the stitches of a ‘Sarwa’ motif– a Cypress tree inspired by various versions of the design found in Tatreez (the art of Palestinian embroidery). The hand-engravings are then oxidized, and combined with a satin finish for the highest contrast.
