The Mayada Pendant is named after my spectacular mother, forever partial to triangles. Beautiful, organized, and triangular, the motif engraved reminded Jalnar of her mother instantly the first time she came across an image of it embroidered on a thobe. Engraved in a style developed to translate the textures of Palestinian Tatreez, the directional cuts catch light as you move, highlighting different ‘stitches’ at every angle.
